Christopher McKee is CEO and Owner of the PRS Group, a leading global provider of political and country risk forecasts and analysis, with offices in Syracuse, New York, and Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Chris is also the CEO and Owner of Gavea Emerging Markets Corp, a Vancouver-based boutique country risk advisory, specializing in political risk assessment, project finance due diligence, and early-stage enterprise financing.

 

Chris received his PhD in international political economy from Queen’s University and is a former faculty member at UBC. During this time Chris operated a country risk consultancy for firms with commercial interests in several emerging markets, and later worked in the private and government sector, conducting due diligence assessments of limited recourse financing projects in the mining and oil and gas sectors, formulating sovereign debt sustainability models, and constructing micro-financing facilities.

 

Chris is the author of several publications dealing with international business and risk, and has lived and worked in a range of emerging markets, including Latin America, South East Asia and North Africa. He also has been interviewed or quoted by such publications as LatinFinance, Inc magazine, Institutional Investor, Euromoney, Reuters, CIO, and has appeared on CNBC.
